In the first of two pieces of Sault job-creation news expected over the next week, RMH Teleservices International Inc. has confirmed it's landed its first major inbound technical support contract.

A new contract with Microsoft Networks is expected to create almost 200 new jobs.

SooToday.com has learned that a local announcement will be made next week by The Sutherland Group Ltd. of Rochester, New York, which has been looking at Sault Ste. Marie as a possible location for a professional services operation involving hundreds of new jobs.

Sutherland is expected to start its job-recruitment efforts as early as this weekend.

The Sutherland Group maintains facilities in New York, New Jersey, Texas, Colorado, California, England and India, totalling about 3,000 employees.

The company's web site describes Sutherland's expertise as being "in the design, implementation and management of technology solutions for customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise application integration (EAI) and enterprise resource planning (ERP)."
