Here's what they said about Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology at yesterday's award presentation:

************************* Congratulations to Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology on being presented this year’s Employer of Choice Award.

Sault College is one of 24 community colleges in Ontario and the Sault College story is one that begins with hope and transformation in academic greatness at every turn.

The story of success began 45 years ago when the institute first opened its doors.

Since then, the college has attracted and motivated students by offering a wide range of strong educational programs taught by a progressive and supportive faculty who provide a transformational learning experience for the thousands of students who attend.

As the face of education has changed, so too has the College’s response to the needs of its students, however changing learning needs and technology means that staff and faculty must themselves be continually learning, a prospect that the College, as an employer, embraces.

Thanks in no small part to the College’s innovation and commitment, the institute has enjoyed a significant increase in enrolment, along with the need to expand both physically and in the number of staff required to continue to offer the best learning opportunities to its students.

Congratulations once again to Sault College as the recipient of the 2010 Employer of Choice Award.
