Sault College is the latest to express concern with a local business after its owner's offensive social media posts have come to light.

In a post to its Facebook page, the college says it has 'severed all business dealings' with Dave Selvers' company Millenium Crane Rentals.

Last night, SooToday reported that Algoma Steel, a Millennium Crane customer, had denounced Selvers' blog and Facebook posts, which repeatedly attack women, liberal politicians, blacks, Muslims, media outlets and LGBTQ+ persons, using crude terminology and slurs.

Mayor Christian Provenzano has said he agrees with citizens who have spoken out about Selvers' posts and have called on the city to cease doing business with Millenium. It is not clear what concrete steps the city may take.

Selvers, for his part, has denied the posts on his blog are hateful, racist or malicious.
