Sault Area Hospital will be lifting some visitor restrictions. More details are outlined in the following announcement from SAH's website.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the way family and friends support patients in hospitals has changed. We know these changes have not been easy for patients or providers. We recognize the integral role that visitors play in providing physical, social, emotional and navigation of care.

Due to the current COVID-19 environment at SAH and in our community beginning June 28, 2022, Sault Area Hospital will be lifting some visitor restrictions to expand visiting to include Essential Caregivers and Visitors.

Some restrictions will remain in place to ensure the continued safety of patients, staff, and our community

The SAH Enhanced Visitor Guidance has been updated for visiting patients in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care (ICU), Women & Children's Health, Inpatient Units, and Outpatient Clinics, as well as visiting patients who are palliative. Guidance for visiting a patient who is COVID-19 suspect or confirmed remains the same.

Current SAH Visitor Guidance information is available here: https://sah.on.ca/visitors/

• Visiting hours will be between 12 - 8 daily

• There will be no visitors allowed on units in an outbreak

• All visitors must adhere to the personal protective equipment guidelines directed by staff

Essential Caregivers and Visitors should be fully vaccinated (14-days post-second dose)
