Rose Day returns for 61st year

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Sault Ste. Marie Lions Club has announced that Rose Day is set to return.

Orders for the day will be accepted until May 27.

The Sault Ste. Marie Lions Club is excited to announce that the 61st Annual Rose Day is back! This was a signature event for the Lions that had to be put on hold the last two years because of COVID. We are hoping the community will step up and order flowers by May 27th. Proceeds will support Lions Sight Conservation and Community Projects.

Send a “thinking of you” message, best wishes, Happy Birthday or any other message that will be included with the flowers that are being delivered on June 15th to the person you specify. Free delivery is still being offered within Sault Ste. Marie city limits.

Prices for flowers are as follows: Roses are $22/dozen, mixed bouquets are $17 and carnations are $14/dozen.

Thank you to the SSM Lions Club, and dedicated Retired Teachers Association, for the work they did with the annual Vision Screening Program pre-COVID. This program is designed to screen Senior Kindergarten students in both separate and public schools.

Donations over the years have been made to the CNIB to purchase aids and devices and assist with vision screening, the Sault Area Hospital Foundation and many other worthwhile organizations.
