Retired principal seeks election to school board

Election day is Monday, Oct. 24

Recently retired school principal Wayne Greco, currently chair of the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library Board, filed nomination papers Thursday to seek a trustee position on Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board.

That board has six trustees representing City of Sault Ste. Marie, Township of Laird, Township of Tarbutt, Township of Johnson, Township of Macdonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional, Township of Prince and Sault North Locality.

Previously nominated were John Caputo and Gary Trembinski.

Deadline to file nomination papers is Friday, Aug. 19 at 2 p.m.

Election day is Monday, Oct. 24.
