Racing a train leads to charges for man

The accused’s vehicle has been impounded for 45 days

On February 5, 2016 officers observed a Chevrolet van cross through an active railway crossing while the lights were flashing just in front of the oncoming locomotive.

Investigation found that the driver of the vehicle was prohibited from driving both under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act.

[Charge withdrawn] has been charged for driving while disqualified and will appear in court on March 7.

The accused’s vehicle has been impounded for 45 days and charges have also been laid under the Highway Traffic Act.
