PUC Services Inc. is seeking persons with board or senior level business experience in workplaces fostering innovation and strategic thinking to fill two vacancies on its Board of Directors.

The ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of corporate governance, finance, risk management, and will have entrepreneurial expertise to guide the future of PUC Services. Familiarity with public policy issues and experience in the energy, water, or related industries is also desirable.

PUC Services is a multi-utility services company operating as a wholly owned private company of the Corporation of the City of Sault Ste. Marie and is incorporated under the Ontario Business Corporations Act.

PUC Services manages the assets and business of PUC Distribution Inc. (the local electricity distribution company), manages and operates the city's water treatment and distribution system, and operates the City's wastewater treatment plants under multi-year contracts.

As a member of the Board, you will play an active role in guiding business strategy and setting corporate direction. The Board meets on average ten times per year, at the PUC Services main office in Sault Ste. Marie.

Additionally, all members of the Board are also required to participate in sub-committee work. The term of office is three years and all directors must be resident Canadians.
