Police seek assistance in attempted robbery

On August 15, 2014 at approximately 12:45 p.m., an adult male was walking in the parking lot behind 280 Queen Street East. 

The parking lot runs between Bruce Street and Dennis Street. 

The male victim heard the sound of footsteps behind him and was then pushed from behind.

The suspect attempted to grab the victim’s wallet from his back pocket.

The victim fell to the ground and the male suspect continued to run away from the area empty handed.

The victim received minor injuries but did not require any medical treatment.

The suspect was last seen headed north on Dennis Street.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged male and he was wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans and running shoes.
