On 26 September 2016, at approximately 21:41hrs, the Sault Ste Marie Police was contacted by the OPP to assist with locating a vehicle heading towards Sault Ste. Marie from Iron Bridge.

The vehicle was described as an orange 2002 Ford Mustang. The vehicle had been taken without consent from Perth County and was also involved in a gas drive away earlier from a gas station in Iron Bridge.

The vehicle was initially observed by City Police on Trunk Rd. travelling westbound at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic.

While in the parking lot, police attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle did not comply and continued to drive nearly striking one of the officers, striking the cruiser and a parked pick-up truck. The suspect vehicle then exited the parking lot travelling westbound on Albert St.

A short time later the vehicle was located in the 400 block of John St., where it had struck a car parked in a residential driveway, with the occupants having fled on foot.

Information was provided by a witness that the two occupants exited the vehicle and ran northbound through a backyard in the 400 block of John St. Officers checked the area with negative results.

The occupants of the Mustang have been identified as Ryan Anderson, male age 23 of Angus Ontario, and Cassidy Keenan-Lemaitre, female age 21 of Innisfil Ontario.

Both are wanted for the following Criminal Code charges:

  • Assault with a weapon
