On September 23, 2016 city police arrested a male subject on several outstanding charges.

It is alleged that on August 4, 2016 the accused Jody Edwards, age 25, was at the Station Mall and stole a baseball style hat. On August 16, 2016 it is alleged that the accused Jody Edwards attended a local Motel and broke into one of the rooms.

The accused was accompanied by another person. The accused is alleged to have been wearing a mask. The accused told the victim to cover his head with the blanket. 

Stolen in this incident was electronic equipment, personal items and a debit card. 

On leaving it is alleged that the male told the victim not to call the police or they would hurt his family. It is alleged that the accused used the victim’s debit card at two locations and obtained currency.

The accused Jody Edwards stands charged with the following: theft under $5,000, breach of probation X 2, robbery, disguise with intent to commit an offence, break and enter with intent, use of a stolen credit card X 2 and possession of stolen property.

The accused is scheduled to appear in bail court today.
