Police are at St. Mary's College this morning after a student is alleged to have made online threats to the school.

An email to parents says around 8 p.m., the school was made aware of threats and the administration contacted city police. Officers attended the student's residence and conducted a thorough investigation before determining that there is no immediate threat to the school or the students.

St. Mary's College remains open and classes and programming will continue as scheduled.

The school says police will be at the school today to ensure student safety.

An email from the school states that "St. Mary's College and the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board are treating this matter very seriously and will continue to work closely with the SSMPS."
