Pellet-gun sniper shoots a jogger in Heyden

********************* Pedestrian shot with pellet gun

Heyden, Ont. - Sault Ste. Marie OPP are investigating a shooting over the weekend where a pedestrian was shot in the shoulder with a pellet gun.

On Sunday October 30 at about 4 p.m. the female victim was running in the 100 block of Highway 556 in Heyden.

She felt a pellet hit her shoulder and then ricochet off her jaw.

The victim turned around just in time to see a young male, who she believed to be the shooter, in a window of a nearby house.

The victim approached the house and was told to leave by an adult person.

A short time later the victim saw the same young male leave the house.

She confronted the young person and a scuffle ensued.

Police were called to the scene and a container of pellets was seized.

The victim did not require any immediate medical attention.

No charges or arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing.
