CITY POLICE NEWS RELEASE

********************** Yesterday morning City Police officers attended at the Station Mall after receiving a complaint of a male passing counterfeit $10 bills at a number of stores.

Officers located a male in the mall that matched the description of the suspect, and when the male was searched after being arrested, officers located a number of counterfeit $10 bills in his possession.

Kevin Charrette, age 35, of Brantford, Ontario has been charged with one count of possession of counterfeit money and will appear in bail court this morning.

Officers from the Fraud Unit are continuing the investigation in the matter.

Businesses in town are asked to check for counterfeit $10 bills with the serial numbers FEL3790261 or FEM9344819.
