Since 1982, tugboats from across the region and the United States have gathered on the the St. Marys River for the annual Great Tugboat Race.

As a not-for-profit organization, The Great Tugboat Race raises money to support children with disabilities in the the Twin Saults as vessels race in a variety of categories.

The weekend of everything tugboats also included charity pancake breakfasts served aboard the Breakfast Barge Nostalgia moored at the Roberta Bondar Marina and the kick-off Parade of Tugs.
