UPDATED DESCRIPTION: On August 12, 2018, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Elliot Lake Detachment responded to a report of a missing male from the City of Elliot Lake, Ontario.

On the evening of August 12, 2018, the OPP located Lawrence Boyd in good health in the City of Greater Sudbury.

The OPP would like to thank the public for their assistance.

ELLIOT LAKE, ONT. — On Aug. 12, 2018, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Elliot Lake Detachment responded to a report of a missing male from the City of Elliot Lake, Ont.

OPP investigation has revealed that Lawrence Boyd, 34 years of age was seen leaving St Joseph's General Hospital shortly after 5 a.m. this morning. He is described as white, approximately 5' 7" tall, slim build, 140 pounds, brown hair with a buzz cut, hazel eyes, unshaven, with a clean appearance. Last seen wearing grey baggy hoody, baggy shorts, neon green running shoes, a baseball cap and carrying a black and grey packsack.

He has recently moved to Elliot Lake and has ties to the City of Greater Sudbury.

Police and family are concerned for his well-being and are asking the public's help to locate him. Anyone with information or may know the whereabouts of Lawrence BOYD is urged to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
