*************************** OPP cruiser involved in personal injury collision

(Burks Falls, Ontario) - Almaguin Highlands OPP is on the scene of a personal injury motor vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 11 a.m. this morning (Monday June 28th, 2004).

The collision involved an OPP cruiser and a pick-up truck at the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 520, Burks Falls, Ontario (south entrance to the town of Burks Falls).

The two occupants of the pick-up truck were transported to Hunstville District Memorial Hospital via ambulance with undetermined injuries.

The officer was air-lifted to Hunstville District Memorial Hospital.

An OPP Collision Reconstructionist from the North East Region Traffic and Marine Unit is on scene.

Motorists are advised to use caution in the area as traffic is reduced to one lane while police continue the investigation.

The Province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been notified and will be attending.
