A U.S. military plane dropped six training bombs on Oscoda County, reports the Associated Press.

The incident took place Oct. 25 in an area east of Grayling, about halfway between Mackinac City and Saginaw, and is believed to have been the results of a mechanical failure, AP reports.

AP says the Michigan National Guard found the "non-explosive" bombs and missile in a remote wooded area near Luzerne, Mich.
