Pauline’s Place provides incredibly important services to our community.  Specifically, they help our most vulnerable residents find temporary emergency housing and help those persons to find permanent homes thereafter.

They assist people in being able to meet their basic needs, such as purchasing food, clothing and hygiene products.  Pauline’s Place operates using a housing first approach to ending homelessness which focuses on rapid re-housing and providing supports to clients once they are able to find housing.

Today, MPP Romano announced that our Government has recognized the great work of Pauline’s Place and wants to help them to continue providing services in our community to combat the issue of homelessness.

Through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, we have provided a grant to Pauline’s Place, in the amount of $75,000, which has allowed them to hire two new staff.  These staff have been tasked with fighting homelessness, addictions and mental health in our community.  Enhancing peoples economic well being is the goal of this initiative.

“We want to help these people meet their basic needs. This will have an impact on over 1,500 people in our community and I am very happy to be able to provide this funding to Pauline’s Place today, so that they continue the great work they are doing”, said Romano.
