Ontario strikes out in record-setting Super 7 draw

Four tickets match all seven numbers in the record-setting Super 7 draw, meaning each of the tickets is worth $9,460,492.

Unfortunately, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. advises us that none of the jackpot winners is from Ontario.

Friday night's widely anticipated draw was delayed until 1:26 a.m. on Saturday due to larger-than-expected ticket sales.

The delay, until all audit papers were filed, was attributed to an unexpectedly large number of ticket sales, an Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. official said.

Sales were ten times usual

OLGC sales for the week were $45.7 million, more than ten times the usual $4 million sold for a $2.5 million Super 7 jackpot.
