Algoma Public Health has removed the swimming advisory for:
  • Havilland beach located on Havilland Shore Road
Test results of water samples collected on July 15th, 2014 met the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care guidelines for safe swimming.
 
Big Point Park, located in the Township of Hilton remains unsafe for swimming based on the water sample results.
 
Before swimming, take into consideration the past day’s weather and the current conditions of the beach. The public is encouraged to visit the Beach Warnings section on Algoma Public Health’s website to view an interactive map of the beaches sampled and any current warnings or postings.
