Add another Salt Lake City Olympic medalist to the list of skaters coming to the Sault in April.

22-year-old Alexei Yagudin, who earned four 6.0s for artistry in the free skate on his way to a gold medal Thursday night in the Olympic men's figure skating championship, will perform Apr. 18 at Memorial Gardens.

Yagudin will be in the city as part of the PharmAssist Skate the Nation tour.

The Russian skater is a three-time world champion and the Associated Press predicted after his Salt Lake City win that Yagudin could eventually "win more worlds than Dick Button, who holds the record since World War II with five."

As SooToday.com reported last Tuesday, two other Salt Lake City medalists will also be here on Apr. 18.

Xue Shen and Hongbo Zhao, the Chinese skaters who won bronze behind Canada's Jamie Sale and David Pelletier at Monday's controversial Olympic pairs competition, are also part of the show.

Shen and Zhao tried unsuccessfully to be the first pair in Olympic history to land a throw-quad salchow.

Also in the lineup are Takeshi Honda, who finished fourth in the Salt Lake Olympic men's figure skating final, and Brian Orser, two-time Olympic medalist (1984, 1988).

Tickets for the Apr. 18 event are $45 and can be obtained at the Sault Memorial Gardens box office (759-5251).
