*************************
SAULT STE. MARIE - New workshop sessions have been added to the Canada 150 Mural Mosaic event held at the Ermatinger-Clergue National Historic Site – Discovery Centre on Feb. 14 and 15, 2017. All material will be provided and there is no cost to participate.

The mural will be composed of 400 individually-painted four-inch tiles. Once assembled, it will stand eight feet high by eight feet wide, and will depict a defining image of the community.

Those interested in painting a tile can register for a workshop here or call 705-759-5310. Spaces are limited.

Once completed, the mural will be mounted, clear-coated and photographed. It will be unveiled during Multiculturalism Day on June 27, 2017 and will be permanently displayed in Sault Ste. Marie.

Sault Ste. Marie is one of 150 communities from across the country that has been approached to participate in the Canada 150 Mosaic Project. The City’s mural will be connected virtually to other community murals online.
