NEWS RELEASE
THE PERIOD PURSE
**************************
The Period Purse is a non-profit organization that strives to achieve menstrual equity and reduce the stigma surrounding periods.

The organization works with community partners, local volunteers and committed donors to deliver menstrual products to people in need. It also hosts seasonal fundraising blitzes across Ontario, collecting generously donated product.

The organization’s Sault Ste. Marie Chapter is hosting its Fall Blitz campaign this November.

The Fall Blitz encourages locals to donate large purses, menstrual products, socks and underwear, hats, mitts and hygiene items.

All donated products are packed in the purses with a lovely motivational note, which are then given to local shelters supporting menstruators experiencing homelessness.

This fall, The Period Purse’s Sault Ste. Marie Chapter will be donating product to Pauline's Place, HOPE Alliance and St. Vincent's Place.
