Nominations to open in September for Downtown Association board

The board meets on the second Wednesday of the month

Elections for the Downtown Association Business Improvement Area's board of directors are opening for nominations on Sept. 19.

Applications can be picked up at the association's office or by emailing [email protected].

Board members meet on the second Wednesday of the month and are expected to lead at least one committee.

Elections for the 2022-2026 Board of Directors of the Downtown Association Business Improvement Area will be opening for nomination in September 2022.

The term of the directors of the Board is the same as the term of the Council that appointed them, and continues until their successors are appointed.

Members of the Association as well as members of the public with an interest in the Downtown area are eligible for nomination.

Directors are expected to attend monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. and to lead at least one subcommittee. The process will proceed as follows:

a. Nominations shall open on the third Monday of September at 9 a.m. 

b. Nominations shall close at 5 p.m. on the third Monday of October; and

c. Voting day shall be held on the third Monday in November from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All parties interested may stop into the office once nominations open to pick up an application, or reach out to the Association by email at [email protected].

Applications must be received in person at the office before the end of the nomination period.
