Nominations close. Here's the full list of council, school board candidates

Sault Ste. Marie now has four candidates running for mayor in this fall's municipal election.

Rory Ring, chief executive officer of the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce, filed papers this morning to run for the city's top elected position.

The three others running for mayor are Ted Johnston, Kemal Martinovic and incumbent Mayor Christian Provenzano.

The deadline for nominations was 2 p.m. today.

Other last-minute council nominees today were Michele McCleave-Kennedy in Ward 1, Ted Hallin in Ward 2 and Frank Fata in Ward 5.

Vivian Duffy filed papers today to run for Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board.

Wanda McQueen was at the Civic Centre today and told SooToday she expected to file to run for Ward 5 councillor.

But there was a problem with her paperwork and she didn't meet the 2 p.m. deadline to collect 25 signatures on the proper form.

Voting day is Monday, Oct. 22.
