As of early Friday evening, no new forest fires were burning in the region.
It marks the second consecutive day in which no new fires were found in the Northeast Region after two were confirmed on Wednesday, which included one north of Iron Bridge and another east of Peawanuck in the northern portion of the province.
There are currently 11 active fires in the region, one of which is under control while 10 are being observed.
The fire hazard remains low to moderate for most areas in the region, though some areas in the far north are currently showing a high hazard today.
