No new fires in the region, 10 remain active

All of the active fires in the region are currently being observed

The forest fire situation in the region remains unchanged from Tuesday with no new fires confirmed in the Northeast Region.

As of Wednesday evening, there are 10 active fires burning, all of which are currently being observed.

The fire hazard is low to moderate in most areas located south of Montreal River Harbour and Temiskaming Shores. A portion of Algonquin Park has a high hazard.

Areas north of Montreal River Harbour and Temiskaming Shores have a moderate to high hazard as of Wednesday evening.
