HSCDSB trustees approve implementation of Ministry of Education’s Memorandum of Understanding

SAULT STE. MARIE - On August 23, 2012, the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board of Trustees approved the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) reached between the Ontario Ministry of Education and the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA).

“This decision demonstrates the Board’s leadership and commitment to ensuring that our schools will open and student learning is not disrupted during the school year,” said Board Chair Laurie Aceti.

“We have always worked in a spirit of collaboration with all our employee groups and the adoption of the MOU will provide labour stability and peace of mind for our students, parents and all of our partners in Catholic education,” added Aceti.

The Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board delivers quality educational programming to approximately 4,000 students in 23 schools in communities in the Algoma and Sudbury Districts.
