No cattle were injured in the weekend accident that closed Highway 17 north of the Sault, OPP report this morning.

Poor weather conditions caused a tractor-trailer carrying cattle to slide partially into a ditch early Sunday.

It happened near Mica Bay, about 100 kilometres north of the Sault.

There was no damage to the tractor-trailer and no injuries, but another 10 tractor-trailers had trouble in the same area until the highway was salted and sanded.

There were also problems over the weekend in the Mile Hill area, about 20 kilometres north of Sault Ste. Marie.

A number of truckers ran into problems there but no accidents were reported.
