Multi-vehicle collision halts traffic at Lake and McNabb (7 photos)

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to calls of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Lake Street and McNabb Street.

The accident appeared to have involved four vehicles, three of which were significantly damaged.

Airbags were deployed in several vehicles, and debris could be seen scattered across the intersection as bystanders watched in concern.

A paramedic on the scene confirmed one person had been sent to the hospital.

Motorists travelling in any direction were forced to turn around completely.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
