Freezing rain warning in effect for:

  • Agawa - Lake Superior Park

Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

Temperatures remain near or slightly below the zero degree mark early this morning. As a result, areas of freezing rain continue to affect the region.

The freezing rain will slowly change over to rain later this morning as temperatures edge above the zero degree mark.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
