Convicted murderer Stephen Grant (shown) has given up parental rights for his seven-year-old daughter and five-year-old son.
On December 21, 2007, a Michigan jury found Grant guilty of second-degree murder for the death and dismemberment of his wife Tara.
In early March 2007, Grant was apprehended in the Mackinac area after spending a night under a tree in sub-freezing temperatures.
The then-accused was subsequently taken to an area hospital.
While in police custody, Grant confessed to killing his wife.
