Did you get ticketed for improper parking this winter in Soo, Michigan?

For failing to park within the painted lines downtown?

When there was so much blasted snow and ice on the road that nobody could possibly see the painted lines?

Well, you weren't alone.

Tonight's edition of the Soo Evening News reports that there were lots of other unhappy campers and the City Commission last night authorized Police Chief Lou Murray to issue discretionary refunds on the $10 tickets.

The chief gets final say in who will and won't be getting refunds.

The newspaper says he's been told to decide each case based on available evidence, type of ticket, and road conditions at the time.

If you think you deserve a refund, call the Sault (Michigan) Police Department.
