Missing 77-year-old found 10 kilometres away from home

********************** OPP locate missing man

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) In the early morning hours on the 25th of June, provincial police located 77-year-old Marius Dionne of Blind River, Ontario.

Marius Dionne went missing from the 10 Mile Lodge on the 23rd of June.

Police located Marius Dionne approximately 10 kilometres from where had been reported missing.

Mr. Dionne was suffering from exposure to the elements and environment.

He was transported to St. Joseph Hospital by helicopter.

Mr. Dionne was treated and released later that day.

During the course of the search the Ontario Provincial Police utilized members of Emergency Response Team, OPP helicopter and two canine units.

The East Algoma OPP would like to thank the North Shore Search and Rescue Team, local residences, business, and volunteers for their assistance.
