WAWA OPP NEWS RELEASE

******************** Driver crashes stolen car near Wawa (Wawa, Ontario) - On Sunday 28th November 2004 at 11:30 a.m., Wawa OPP arrived on the scene minutes after a 1999 Chrysler Mini Van crashed in the ditch on Highway 17, 20 kilometers south of Wawa.

The van had been reported stolen from Calgary Alberta. The two occupants were not injured and arrested without incident.

The driver, 20-year-old John Pasher of Stephenville, Newfoundland was charged with Possession of Stolen Vehicle and Breach of Probation.

The male passenger was later released with no charges.

Pasher was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing in Sault Ste Marie today.
