Sault Mayor John Rowswell was paid $67,091 by the City last year, according to a summary prepared by Michael Murray, director of financial services.

The Mayor earned a $42,148 honorarium and also received $21,391 for travel expenses and a $3,552 car allowance.

With the exception of Councillor Tom Austin (who died last September) all members of City Council received an honorarium of $14,050 and were also eligible for a car allowance and travel expenses related to conferences and seminars.

Peter Vaudry was the only councillor who didn't claim a car allowance.

Councillors Vaudry, Austin, DelBianco, Mick and Turco were the only ones to claim travel expenses.
