Man wanted for attempted murder in Albert Street incident (update)

11:30 a.m. update

On February 10, just after 11 a.m., officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested Trevor Seaton. 

He was taken into custody without incident. 

He has been charged with one count of Attempt Murder and will be appearing in bail court on February 11.

Officers from Investigation Services are still continuing to work on this investigation and no further details will be released at this time.

Officers from Investigation Services are continuing to work on the serious incident that took place on the 8th of February.

On that date at approximately 5:28 p.m. a 911 call was received to attend at an apartment inside 142 Albert Street East.

Officers and paramedics located a 36-year-old male victim suffering from life threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service has obtained an arrest warrant for 28-year-old Trevor George Seaton of no fixed address. 

Trevor Seaton is wanted for one count of attempt murder.

It is believed that Mr. Seaton is armed and dangerous. 

The public is advised to not approach him but to call 911 immediately.
