HILTON BEACH – On June 20, 2015 at 9 a.m. officers from the Thessalon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call to a residence on Maple Street in Hilton Beach on St. Joseph Island, concerning the well-being of a male person.
Early this morning police entered the residence and a 43-year-old male was located deceased.
OPP has notified the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate.
As a result the OPP will not be able to provide any further information.
