Man charged with throwing snowball at police

A 20-year-old Sault Ste. Marie man was arrested this morning after a snowball struck a police officer in a local parking lot. Edward Joel Galbraith of the 400 block of Northern Avenue is charged with assaulting a peace officer.

A 20-year-old Sault Ste. Marie man was arrested this morning after a snowball struck a police officer in a local parking lot.

Edward Joel Galbraith of the 400 block of Northern Avenue is charged with assaulting a peace officer.

Police say the snowball was thrown in the parking lot at 443 Northern Avenue.

No injuries were reported but Galbraith will get to make his pitch to a judge on April 19.
