Man charged with 11 domestic-related offenses

A 47-year-old male was arrested by city police on June 25 and charged with 11 different domestic related offenses dating back to 2013.

It is alleged he assaulted his common-law girlfriend on 7 different occasions from March of 2013 to June of this year.

He also was charged with 2 counts of threatening death, 1 count of forcible confinement and 1 count of sexual assault, all during the same time period.

These offenses occurred while the two were living together.

The accused will be appearing in bail court later this morning.
