On Monday March 3, 2014, a 20-year-old male was arrested at the Sault Ste. Marie courthouse on an outstanding warrant for domestic related charges.
It is alleged that in the early hours of February 16, the male assaulted his 21-year-old girlfriend by pushing and kicking her, resulting in minor injuries that did not require medical attention.
The male also caused mischief by damaging property within the home.
It is further alleged that the male had been consuming alcohol prior to this incident occurring.
At the time of the incident the male was on a recognizance with conditions to be in residence from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., and to abstain from alcohol.
The accused male will be attending bail court this morning.
