Murder accused Joshua McCabe has been released from custody.

Superior Court Justice Michael Varpio granted the Sault Ste. Marie man bail Monday, following a day-long hearing at the courthouse.

The judge imposed a number of conditions on the 30-year-old man, who will make his next court appearance on March 26.

McCabe is charged with second-degree murder in the Feb. 10 shooting death of Christopher Swanson, 23, on Morin Street.

A publication ban prohibits reporting on evidence, and information and reasons given at the bail hearing.

Swanson died after being shot during an altercation in the 400 block of Morin Street.

Earlier this month, city police announced two men face several charges stemming from a home invasion linked to the fatal shooting.

It is alleged that the pair, armed with weapons, forced their way into a residence and assaulted a man inside the home.

Police were called a short time after they fled.

Dallas Solomon, 23, was arrested on Feb. 20  and Branden Hartling, 26, on March 5.

They are charged with break and enter with the intent to commit robbery,  assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, wearing a disguise with intent and breach of probation.
