Male receives significant injuries in aggravated assault

On April 9 police were called to an apartment complex on Gore Street for a male with injuries at the bottom of a stair case

At 7 p.m. on May 26, 2016 city police arrested 54-year-old Timothy Maurice Constantineau of Sixth Avenue on an outstanding arrest warrant.

On April 9, 2016 at about 2:30 a.m. police were called to an apartment complex on Gore Street for a male with injuries at the bottom of a stair case.

The male victim was transported to Sault Area Hospital with significant injuries.

A subsequent investigation revealed that the accused assaulted the male resulting in him going down the stairs.

As a result, Constantineau has been charged with aggravated assault and he will be appearing in Bail court on May 27, 2016 at 10 a.m.
