Frank Anzalone, who coached Lake Superior State University to an NCAA championship and four NCAA tournament appearances, is claiming he was wrongfully dismissed yesterday by LSSU.

"Head coach Frank N. Anzalone has been wrongfully terminated pursuant to the terms of his contract with Lake Superior State University, and will seek redress in the courts against those responsible for his unjustified discharge," Anzalone's lawyer, James P. Lambros, said in a statement released today to insidecollegehockey.com.

As SooToday.com reported yesterday, LSSU announced that Anzalone will be replaced by long-time assistant coach Jim Roque.
