Lots of Guides and Scouts at Hiawatha (13 photos)

This weekend is the 56th annual Northern Ontario Rendezvouz

Over 200 scouts, guides, and adults gathered at Hiawatha Highlands this weekend for Rendezvous 2017.

The event happens every long weekend in May in a different Northern Ontario town and, now its 56th year, organizers say its ‘the longest running annual Scout Camp in Canada'.

The group will be at Hiawatha Highlands throughout the weekend and besides camping, they will be doing a variety of outdoor activities like scavenger hunts, nature hikes, capture the flag, and stargazing.

The event is organized by Scouts Canada and hosts Scouts, Guides, third-year Cub Scouts, Rover Scouts, and Venture Scouts.

Although primarily a Northern Ontario based event, other scouting groups came as far as Ottawa and Michigan.

The event will run until Monday morning.
