New Ontario government plans Cabinet meeting focused on Northern Ontario

The new Ontario government will hold a cabinet meeting in Sault Ste. Marie on Friday, March 1, as part of the government's focus on the interests of Northern communities.

In its Speech from the Throne, the government committed to addressing Northern Ontario's complex transportation needs, including vital access to the Ring of Fire.

The government will also create a Northern cabinet committee that will keep the Growth Plan for Northern Ontario on track.

To ensure every person in this province has the same opportunities, the government will also focus on developing more paths to employment, including those for young people and Aboriginal communities in the North.
