Locals learn to curl at free open house (8 photos)

Coaches at the Community First Curling Centre are providing free instructions until 5 p.m.

The Community First Curling Centre is hosting a free open house this afternoon for locals interested in learning how to curl.

Coaches will be on-site until 5 p.m. today, providing basic instruction and equipment for curlers of all ages.

Participants are asked to bring a pair of clean running shoes and warm loose-fitting clothing, like sweatpants and a hoodie.

The curling club will also start paid lessons on Monday, Oct. 17. For details, call 705-254-6174.
