CITY POLICE NEWS RELEASE

************************ Last night a vehicle stop by patrol officers resulted in the arrest of three males.

A complaint had been received of a possible impaired driver, and when officers stopped the car on Wellington Street East, they did indeed find the driver to be impaired.

The driver was on a probation order with terms not to associate with one of the passengers in his vehicle as well.

When the officers went to arrest Brent Garson, age 21, of 555 Dundas Street for impaired driving he started to resist arrest and other officers attended to assist in the arrest.

Mr. Garson has been charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of resist arrest and one count of breach of probation.

He will appear in court on the 13th of September.

When the officers were stopping and checking the above vehicle they made inquiries as to who the passengers were as they had also received information that one of the males in the vehicle had been at residence and wanted to start a fight.

Both males provided wrong names to the officers.

However the officers at the scene were able to determine that the names the males provided were indeed not their real names.

Subsequently officers charged Jody Swanson, age 19, of 245 John Street and Luc Dale, age 21, of 108-537 Cooper St. with one count each of impersonation.

Both males will appear in court on September 13th.
