WATCH: Minister of education, top doctor give update on return to in-person learning

Students return to the classroom Jan. 17

Ontario has revealed changes in its approach to COVID-19 as students head back to the classroom next week.

Today, Minister of Education Stephen Lecce and Ontario chief medical officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore talked about the preparations underway for returning to in-person learning.

After delaying some students' return to school to Jan. 5, the province postponed in-person learning altogether until Jan. 17.

The new measures for next week include rapid tests for students and staff, and tracking school absences are some of the new measures.

More details on today's announcement are available here.
